Mistress Chief Cosplay by Shaedwyn Mistress Chief Cosplay by Shaedwyn
Halo-inspired costume I designed as a loose interpretation of a female Master Chief. A helmet was made but it was thrown together and ultimately detracted from the rest of the outfit, so it was scrapped. Maybe next year.
Seen here at Dragon*Con 2011

That is very awesome! Did you use EVA foam sheets? I used the same kind of sheets in a costume I did, but I found it really hard to get "nice clean cuts" in the stuff. Did you use a hot knife or something like that? And did the sheets come green as you got them, or did you paint them over? Looks fantastic anyhow, you can definitely see a lot of work went into this!!

I used an electric turkey carver actually haha. It worked really well, but I agree it was difficult to get perfectly smooth cuts. The material is a floor mat foam made for going underneath workout equipment and was originally gray. It was primed and spray-painted Italian Olive.

Fantastic job at that, too. I used the same material for [link] this costume, but it didn't turn out nearly as goodlooking as yours, and I only made mine as a "lol-cos". That part worked out really well :P I'm anxious to see your future works! :D

I'm afraid that won't be any time soon. I live in the Netherlands, so it's quite a trip to get over there. I think it would be awesome to attend to a convention approximately 200 times bigger than the ones we usually attend here though  But then again, who knows what the future holds! Keep up the good work :)

Doesn't the armor kind of expose too much ? Well nevertheless, it's a pretty good cosplay.
